Add Canola oil to a pot.2. Add white popcorn kernels in a single layer to the oil in the pot.3. Cover the pot with lid, turn on high heat.4. Meanwhile melt butter for 35 seconds in microwave.5. When popcorn starts to pop, shake the pot on the burner/flame, being sure to not move the lid off. This will cook the kernels evenly and prevent them from burning.6. When you hear only a few kernels continuing to pop. Turn the burner off and remove from heat. Pour the hot popcorn into a metal bowl. You should not many unpopped kernels, if any!7. Evenly pour the melted butter over the popcorn, shake it in the bowl to mix. Sprinkle with salt and then garlic powder until it is to your liking.
