Easy Almond Sugar Cookies

Almond extract gives this butter-y sugar cookie most delish flavor!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C, Butter Softened
  • 1 1/2 C. Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 tsp. Almond Extract
  • 3 C. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

Perfect Buttercream Frosting

  • 1/2 C. Butter
  • 4 C. Powder Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. Almond Extract
  • 4 Tbsp. Milk OR more as needed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°
    Cream together butter and sugar mixing for 2 minutes. Add eggs, vanilla, and almond extract.
    In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    Gradually add all ingredients to creamed mixture until well combined.
    It will have a "play-doh" consistency.
    Roll the dough into 1 1/2" balls and drop onto a greased cookie sheet or lined with parchment paper.
    Press ball to flatten slightly.
    Bake at 350° for 10-12 min. until they slightly crack. DO NOT LET BROWN!
    Leave them on the cookie sheet for a minute before transferring to a cooking rack.
