Almond extract gives this buttery, crisp, yet chewy cookie the ultimate flavor. Frost with the perfect buttercream & you will think you have died and gone to heaven! Yes! They really are that amazing!
I love buttercream frosting and I DEFINITELY love sugar cookies! This cookie is one of the best I have ever eaten!
Here in Utah, we have a craft boutique store that has a cute little cafe inside it. AND this cute little cafe also happened to have The. best. sugar cookie I had ever tasted. So, of course, each visit I HAD to leave with a cookie!
Well, on one of my shopping trips, the little cafeteria had changed owners, and they no longer made “my sugar cookie.”
You guys, I could have just sat down and thrown a fit like a two year old! I was so sad!
My friend Chelsey gave me this recipe a while ago and as soon as I tasted it, I was hooked.
Truth be told…they are WAY better than the ones I used to buy!
Thanks, Chels!
It has the perfect almond flavor that is not overpowering. It is topped with a buttercream that has a hint of the almond extract also, and it all works so well together!
I’m pretty sure when you try making these for yourself, you will thank me.
Not, even, kidding.
