This is part 1 of my Easter and Spring Decor.
I LOVE living in a state where there are four seasons that we get to enjoy! Spring brings newness and freshness that comes after a cold winter. The birds chirping, the fresh flowers blooming, rain showers, and the wind perfect for kite flying!
Maybe even a little allergy stuff too…geez…I wish we could forget that part!
I wanted to share some of my decor for the season. Easter has come so quickly so it’s playing a little double duty this year as Easter and spring!
I have been decorating for the last few years with very earthy tones. Browns, whites, green and simple pops of color that include orange and buffalo check and a little Rae!
IN OUR BEDROOM
I spend A LOT of time in my room. It is almost like the center of our little home. Where the three of us congregate. My princess is married now and little Mr. is only 8. It’s where we home school, chill, and watch Netflix. It is just so comfy and cozy!
Maybe a little more so since COVID made its debut? Is this just me? Is it weird?
Please…I would love to know if you love your room as much too! Leave me a comment!
BECAUSE a lot of our time is spent in this coziness. It needs some cuteness too!
This is what sits in my bedroom on a little table in front of a window!
Our armoire is adorned with a simple, but definitely cute, little bunny banner inspired by Sarah Jane from Chic on the Cheap on youtube. She has such cute farmhouse style and is fun to watch turn dollar store creations into something more. This is the link to the printable bunnies.
I cut it out on book pages and then glued a white pompom to make a cute little bunny bum! I attached each bunny evenly on jute twine with tape and then hung it up.
IN THE FRONT ROOM
This hunk of wood, we found on a camping trip. It has become my little centerpiece for seasonal decor. It sits in the center of an old table that lifts on both sides and stores blankets!
- Nest. This is a real bird’s nest found on our farm.
- The eggs are pulled from an old wreath. I spray-painted them white and then added “The skinny” font with our names. I also did other names on eggs that you will see tomorrow in part 2.
- The cute little orange carrots came from dollar tree. They come four to a pack. The buffalo check came from Hobby Lobby last year. I think I paid between $4-$7 with a 40% off coupon and there were either 8-10 per package.
- The plant is a TJ MAXX find that I’ve had for years.
- This adorable sign Sarah Jane shared also! This is the link to it! I printed it out on white card stock and inserted it into a 5 X 7 frame that I had painted.
- The white bunny is a dollar store bunny pick that was pink. I repainted it with white chalk paint and added a little jute bow. These cuties are throughout my home! (Sarah Jane shared this little hack also!)
Farmhouse Thrifty Spring Mantle is a post I did last year. To find out more details, check it out!
That’s it for part 1. See you tomorrow for part 2 where I will share my kitchen decor and three tier tray!
