This easy & of course delicious weeknight dinner made with Hamburger, Rice, Cream of Mushroom Soup and Chow Mein Noodles will soon become a family favorite!
Growing up, instead of going out for dinner, on our birthday we got to choose our favorite meal. My mom is an amazing cook so choosing a birthday dinner was a treat. On my special day, I ALWAYS chose one of two things, Taco salad or Chinese Noodle Casserole.
Making this for my family brings back childhood memories of my birthday dinner choice!
This is a simple dinner that is everyone will love. It comes together quickly, is filling and did I mention it is delicious? Well, it sure is! The best thing is you can add or takeaway any ingredients your family does or doesn’t like and its still the bomb!
The ingredients
- Hamburger
- Rice
- Cream of Mushroom Soup

How its made
Boil Two cups of your favorite rice, according to package directions, Set aside.
Start on the yummy sauce!
In a pot, brown 1 lb. of hamburger with 1 onion diced. Add Season Salt, and Garlic powder to the burger. Cook until it is no longer pink and onion is slightly translucent.
Add TWO cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup to the burger and then using the can as your measuring cup, fill it with milk and pour it in.
Then add the worchestershire sauce.
Mix until C R E A M Y and you have all the yummy drippings from the hamburger incorporated.
Then add the cooked rice and mushrooms. If you choose to add any other veggies, now would be the time to add them! Mix it all together, YUM!
After you have it mixed.
Pour it into a casserole dish.
Spread the Crunchy Chow Mein Noodles evenly on the top. Add as many as you would like. I like mine a little crunchy, but adjust it it your liking!
Bake in a 350 degree for 40 minutes, or until warmed all the way through.
Serve it up and DIG IN! I love it with a little soy sauce drizzled on top.
Usually, we eat it with a salad or fresh warm rolls with butter. But…today the casserole was enough and hit the SPOT!
Yep! Still one of my childhood faves.
The best thing about this casserole is that it gets better and better the longer it sits in the fridge! (I usually only keep leftovers for about five days.)
