Macbeth Plaque

Hey!

So this is what I call the Macbeth Plaque.  

It is the famous saying the witch says  as she is stirring the cauldron. 

I did this the same way as I did the Eyes of Newt label.

I typed it up and printed it out on white paper, the used a tea bag to stain the warm water.  I let the paper stay in the water for an hour. I crinkled up the paper too before I put it in.

I layed it out to dry.

I got this plaque at the dollar store a few years ago.  I almost threw it away last year but, I thought I might be able to use it for something, so I kept it. I’m so glad I did!

I painted it with some black paint.

I used mod podge to stick it to the board, did a thin cost under and on top of it.  I love how it turned out…I think my favorite part is the places the tea absorbed into the crinkled part of the paper!  I wanted it to look old and wrinkly…..

It turned out exactly how I hoped it would!
