This is part 2! My Tier Tray and the little areas I decorate in the kitchen.
IN THE KITCHEN
I am finding that I’m drawn to simple earthy decor for Spring this year, definitely, more so than in years past! In my kitchen, I have what I call “pops of cuteness.”
On the tops of my kitchen cabinets, this is what you will find….
THREE TIER TRAY
I love decorating my tier tray, as you know…if you’ve been following my blog. Here it is in it’s little spot in the corner of my kitchen under the cabinet.
It is a simple earthy tone decor like I mentioned yesterday. Rae Dunn inspired and actual pieces HAVE to make their appearance.
I love to re-purpose old decor, and THAT is exactly what I did with the eggs. They were a wreath that was once really cute pastel green, pink and yellow. The eggs were starting to crack and the cute grapevine wreath they were was starting to look sad! (I mentioned in yesterday’s post.)
The moss bunny heads are a dollar tree makeover. They are those plastic tinsel-looking bunnies that look cheap, and reinvented them!
FILLED CANNING JARS
This is a close-up of canning jars on either side of my tier tray. They are filled with sticks I picked up outside, then added Walmart greenery that costs 99 cents, and wrapped the jar tops with jute string.
FILLED PEDESTAL CANISTERS
Pedestal canisters with a wicker plate in the center.
The pedestal canisters I made years ago. They are filled with more eggs and greenery like grass. I made the Rae Dunn-inspired farmhouse interchangeable signs a tutorial can be found here.
BAR CENTERPIECE
Sometimes something in the center of my bar.
I made this simple little pedestal for the jar with dollar tree wood from the crafter’s square section and some leftover beads. I stained them all and just used a little hot glue to put it together!
This little bunny jar deserves a post of its own so stay tuned for it!
….Think… A simple cute spring gift!
CHEESE DOME
This little cheese dome was a thrift store find re-painted with chalk paint. The cute bunny came from dollar tree along with the cute carrots. Its home is next to my stove!
I have a post dedicated to these cute little farmhouse signs that I made interchangeable for the seasons.
There you have it, Simple decor!
