Halloween is over, and the spooky stuff is put away for another year.
I’ve never really decorated for Thanksgiving beyond the wreath and leaves. I was doing some countdown blocks for my booth and thought up this really simple and cute block idea.
Yes, I am so proud of myself because I am such a copy cat!
You guys all make some of the neatest stuff, and I’m proud that I came up with this on my own…
{At least I hope I did…I haven’t seen them anywhere}
Here’s what you need, and how I made it!
Supplies:
Wood
Vinyl
Paint
Mod Podge
Scrapbook Paper
Sandpaper
1. Cut the wood. The wood sizes are a 5″ long base, the side wood is 4″ and the square is 3 1/2X4″.
2.I painted them with the color Heritage Brick from Americana.
3.I layed the wood on the paper and traced around them, cut them out, and mod podged the paper to the wood. (I got the paper at Micheals)
4. Sand the edges of the wood
5. If you like the font/pumpkin this is what I used the font Milktop Girl that you can download from Kevin & Amanda’s free scrapbook fonts! I used black vinyl and cut it out using my silhouette. The pumpkin is from KR Harvest Dings the pumpkin is letter “S’.
6.Add your vinyl
7.Apply another thin coat of mod podge on top of it all…
stand back…take a deep breath…
SIGH
OK, that’s what I did anyway..
then I smiled because I really love it!
It sits in the middle of my kitchen table. A perfect, cute, little addition to my Thanksgiving decor!
Have a great day!
I’m linking up at these fabulous parties!
