Once Upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a little girl who had a stepmother who was WICKED…..and gave her a POISON apple…..Ok, so maybe that isn’t exactly how it goes, but, you’ve all heard the story of Snow White…right? I love Walt Disney! I especially love the “older” ones. Last year, I bought some fake apples at the dollar store and dressed them up with some fun stickers , one said,”POISON” (it was red of course, I gave this one to my cute Mom…her favorite Princess is Snow White..I just had to! )and I kept the one that said,”WICKED”.
What you need:
– Fake apple (I don’t know the exact name for it)
– Stickers/Vinyl
– Ribbon
– Glue Gun (optional)
– Peat Moss
– Jewels (optional)
I got the apples at the dollar store. The stickers I got at Hobby Lobby. The ribbon, I got from Walmart.
First wash your apple…JUST KIDDING!
Get your apple, and apply the stickers to spell out poison or wicked. Get the ribbon and cut three 2-3″ pieces. Tie each ribbon around the stem of the apple separately so that you can adjust them in different directions. Once you get them how you want them. you can use a dab of the glue to keep them there. I use a little on the ribbon on the stem so they still looked “flow-y”. Use the peat moss to nestle the apple in and you can just sit it on the counter top or put it in a cheese dome..then you are SO DONE!
My kind of project…easy, cute, and cheap….and with stuff leftover for other projects! Love it!
AHHHH…Love it when something turns out exactly the way I envisioned it!
{I’m sorry I don’t have a pic of my Mom’s, on hers I did it the same way, I hot glued some tiny crystals to the ribbon.)
So perfect for Halloween time decor! Have a great day!
