Ok, So yesterday I told you I would show you how to make a spell book,
A Macbeth plaque, and how it all looks together…
Well, I decided to extend it into a three part post because I have so many pictures and I want to use all of them! So today I’m going to show you my spell book!
Like I said yesterday, I have NEVER been into scary Halloween stuff, but, these are just too fun to not do!
This is the one I made last year:
This is the one I made today:
What you need:
-A old book- (mine is a Readers Digest Hardback that I got at the thrift store)
-Black Paint/Brush
-Distress Ink
-Ribbon
-Mod Podge
-Labels from KMckay Designs Spooky Labels
Paint the edge of the book that says, “readers digest” next apply your label to the front. Use distress ink to smudge black lines, etc. onto the book. Add your ribbon, and your done.
On my Mantel:
I didn’t like it…It looked too plain…not “dark” enough, so then I did this…
Ok…maybe a little too dark, I added two ring spiders, I just cut the ring part off and used hot glue to put them on. I know you can tell where the old label was,but I like it much better!
Have a great day!
