Spring is one of my favorite seasons. The flowers that are peeking through the ground, the air has a crisp freshness that I L.O.V.E., leaves returning to the trees, the grass turning green again and everything seems so fresh and new. Yesterday I put away all my St. Patty’s Day decor…..and that means time for the Easter decor to go up. I got it all out and realized I didn’t have anything for my door!
The Door HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING on it! (Ok, I’ll admit it, I used to have this door hangy thing, you know the ones you get at the dollar store that blows away the first strong wind? Well that is exactly what happened to it…Ba-bye in the wind! Anyway, this morning I made this wreath. I’ve seen similar ideas around blogland. Sorry that I am not sure which blog exactly I saw something like this, but, You were my inspiration!
I used a 8X10 thrift store frame, some burlap cut into 2to 2-1/2 inch wide strips (how long of a piece you need depends on the thickness of your frame) and some material I had cut in 1 1-1/2 inch strips.) Just what the front door needed! It made my morning when my Little Miss Muffet came down stairs and said,”Wow Mom,you made that?” Ahem….Well, of course I did, you know how awesome I am! Love that kiddo!
I love how the wreath turned out! What do you think?

I like that you used an unsual shape. So many people use circles that it gives your wreath more interest…..and those bright colors make the perfect contrast to the rustic burlap. Thanks for sharing with us!
